In-House Safety Training
 |
RSI Courses are Approved for Category 4 Education
In-House “customized”
training seminars have many advantages. RSI conducts over
a hundred Safety seminars every year and one of the fastest
growing sectors is custom training. RSI’s client base
includes most of the large carriers, many large construction
companies, government agencies & health care organizations.
Over the years, RSI has learned the advantages of in-house
seminars:
|
1. When an outside training institute is conducting
the training, everybody shows up. Many seminars conducted by company
instructors are often ignored because the employee makes the assumption
that it can simply be done another day.
2. An outside training institute can standardize
the presentation and make sure that every employee within a nationwide
company receives the same presentation and safety guidelines.
3. Outsourcing of training can be very cost effective.
As an example, the flagship “RF Site Safety AwarenessTM”
seminar can be provided for less than $150 per student when scheduled
dates are organized and class sizes are optimized.
4. Outsourcing training to a professional consulting
company shifts major liability to the outside party.
5. An outside training institute, that has an
ongoing schedule of public seminars, can handle the few stragglers
that will find it hard to come to the original schedule that is
established.
6. Outside instructors can bring a variety of
“real life” examples into the classroom. With the variety
of technical expertise and categories of students that the instructor
faces, the seminar will contain an entertaining mix of examples.
Each example will provide a real solution to real problems.
7. Classroom instruction with a qualified instructor
is mandated by OSHA.
OSHA CFR 1910.268 (c) states in part: "Where training is required,
it shall consist of on-the-job training or classroom-type training
or a combination of both. The employer shall certify the employees
have been trained by preparing a certification record which includes
the identity of the person trained, the signature of the employer
or the person that conducted the training, and the date the training
was completed."
“RF Safety”™
training course provides information of accountability and responsibility
for a safe work site. This training is recommended in order to understand
FCC and OSHA policies and inform employees regarding radiofrequency
radiation and other safety issues. RSI uses real world examples
and experience to bring these issues into focus with appropriate
work practices for the student’s understanding. This is the
first stepping stone for being incompliance with FCC and OSHA regulations.
“RF Train the Trainer™” course
is what your organization needs in order to competently administer
policies and train employees in industry safety issues. In addition
to meeting RF site safety requirements, the course meets the criteria
for the OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Outreach Training course.
After completion, this three-day course allows the attendee to demonstrate
the ability to train employees in a variety of subjects. RSI requires
attendance at a “RF Site Safety Awareness” seminar within
the previous 12 months as a prerequisite to this seminar.
"Com Site Safety™”
course will provide the attendee with a thorough understanding of
the requirements of the various safety issues that OSHA has recently
concentrated on. This course is meant for all employees that install
wireless systems, construct towers, and perform maintenance or any
other activities that can take place at telecommunications sites.
This course will emphasis on those safety hazards that are common
at rooftop or tower communications sites.
