Workplace Safety & Violence
The Workplace Safety & Violence course will state the company's policies and procedures on workplace safety and violence. Course covers the plan of action for employee's to take when safety or violence issues erupts in the course workday. Decreasing further risks, securing areas, reporting procedures and record keeping requirements are skills that will benefit the attendees of this class. Testing upon course completion. ^ Top ^

Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) & Personnel Protection Monitor (PPM)
This course will cover the type of Personnel Protection Equipment (PPE) and Personnel Protection Monitors (PPM) that are available when dealing with Radio Frequency (RF) exposure. This course will state why PPE & PPM needs to be used and the proper way to wear the equipment. Material covers the correct way to clean and maintain the equipment. Testing upon course completion.

Lockout/Tagout
Lockout/Tagout courses will be specific to the type of equipment that is used in company's communication system. The course will cover the company's Lockout/Tagout policy. The material will cover why Lockout/Tagout is important, and what the Cal-OSHA and the Federal Regulations require. The course will state the procedures to go through if personnel are having problem with the equipment, and the equipment cannot be securely Lockout or Tagout. A prerequisite for the course is the general "Lockout/Tagout" program. Testing upon course completion.

Rooftop Safety Hazards
Some of the communication antennas are located on the rooftop; these rooftops can be very hazardous. This course is going to cover some of the more common hazards associated with rooftops. The course will present hazards such as trip, chemical, environmental, biological and Radio Frequency (RF) hazards. It is recommended that the RF course be taken along with this course. Testing upon course completion.

Ladder Safety
Student will leave this class with skills to safely setup, use, maintain and store any type of ladders that may be used while performing normal duties. Testing upon course completion.

Animal Safety
Animal Safety course instructs employees how to react during situations involving animals. Course material teaches attendees appropriate procedures to take when approached or attacked by an unknown animal. Animal Safety training informs personnel of the policy and procedures concerning action taken, notification and reporting requirements. Testing upon course completion.

Heat Stress
Heat Stress teaches personnel how to handle the risks of hot weather working environments. Course material covers the effects hot weather has on the body. The student will be informed how to diminish risks of heat exhaustion, administer first aide to oneself if alone in a work situation, administer first aide to coworkers and made aware the importance of to report and record such incidences. Testing upon completion of test.

Respiratory Safety
Respiratory Safety course will give students' information on respiratory protection and what it means to them. Course material will cover the Federal, State requirements respiratory protection. Course material will cover the company's policies and procedures. This class is an instructor led class, with a test administered at the completion of the course.

Confined Space
Confined Space course covers the basics of a confined space program, and what the Cal-OSHA, as well as OSHA requirements are, when it pertains to the wireless communication industry. This training will cover what the procedures are, if the confined space is considered a permit required confined space. Testing upon course completion.

Fall Protection
Fall Protection course covers the Cal-OSHA and the Federal OSHA requirements for fall protection when dealing with the wireless communication industry. This course will state what the company's policy and procedures are when dealing with fall protection. This course covers why fall protection is necessary around the communication sites. Incident and Accident Reporting
Incident and Accident Reporting course covers policy and procedures on incident and accident reporting. Personnel will come out of the course knowing whom they need to report an incident or accident to per company's policy and procedures. Course material covers why it is important to immediately report any type of incident and accident. Testing upon course completion.

Signs & Tags
Signs & Tags course will cover the procedures associated with hanging signs per the company's policy. The course material will cover who is in charge of hanging and assigning placement of signs. Testing upon course completion.

Back Safety
Back Safety course teaches personnel to use safety skills to decrease back injuries, correct situations that promote back injury and raise the awareness of long term effects of back injuries. Course material covers ways to correct the situation so that a back injury can be prevented. Testing upon course completion.

Cold Exposure
Cold Exposure course covers, how to decrease health risks in extreme temperature work environments. The material covers what the effects of extreme cold temperatures are on the body. Personnel will be informed on how to prepare for cold an environment, and survival techniques if stranded in cold environment. Course material covers what the symptoms of cold exposure are, and how to treat weather related injuries. Testing upon course completion.

Introduction to Ergonomics
This course covers adapting the work environment to reduce physical strains and injuries. Students will learn how to detect an ergonomic injury, types of injuries, how to reduce the effects of excessive or repetitive hazards and how to report these types of health risks. Course material will cover the Cal-OSHA and the Federal OSHA requirements.

Eye Protection
Eye Protection course covers why eye protection is important, and the benefits of eye protection. The student will come out of the course with an understanding of the company's policy on eye protection. Testing upon course completion.

Foot Protection course covers the company's policy on foot protection. Personnel will have an understanding of why foot protection is important. The class will state what the Cal-OSHA and Federal OSHA Regulations are when dealing with foot protection. Testing upon course completion.

Hand and Power Tool course covers most of the hand and power tools that are used at company's facilities. The course material covers the hazards associated with the tools that are being used on a regular bases. Hearing protection
Hearing protection course covers what the company's policy on hearing protection, and why hearing protection is important. CAL-OSHA and the Federal OSHA regulations will be covered. Course will cover the different types of hearing protection that is available, and how to correctly use the Personnel Protection Equipment (PPE). Testing upon course completion.

Slips, Trips & Falls course covers why good housekeeping is important, and how to prevent slips, trips and falls from occurring. The material will cover why it is important to keep all walkways clean and clear. Testing upon course completion.

Fire Safety
Fire Safety course covers hazards that are associated with storing chemicals, welding, and other tasks that could cause a fire. Course material instructs the basics on fire fighting procedures. Personnel will know how to properly classify and use a fire extinguisher per the Nation Fire Protection Association (NFPA) recommendations. Testing upon course completion.

OSHA ACT
Compliance course covers the following topics: site plans; policies & procedures; OSHA compliance; and FCC compliance for Radio Frequency Safety. This course covers proper uses of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) along with other means of protection to lessen the hazard associated with this work environment. The courses mention above can be in taught in individually units, or they can be covered in one session. The course material shows the personnel where the regulations are at, and how they apply to the work environments.

OSHA GENERAL STIPULATIONS: SUMMARIZED

The purpose of this section is to ensure that the hazards of all chemicals produced or imported are evaluated, and that information concerning their hazards is transmitted to employers and employees. This transmittal of information is to be accomplished by means of comprehensive hazard communication programs, which are to include container labeling and other forms of warning, material safety data sheets and employee training.


Passing this course does not in any way authorize attendee to present themselves as a RSI authorized trainer nor does it give attendee authority to utilize the RSI name or likeness in any form including advertising, training, or development. Only by passing the RSI Advanced Train the Trainer course, requesting RSI to furnish official RSI training cards, and paying the required fee per card, is an attendee allowed to provide their internal employees with training cards that contain RSI information. RSI Advanced Train the Trainer graduates are only authorized to issue cards to persons that are direct hires for their company that has paid for the training. These policies will be strictly enforced including taking legal action to protect the RSI name and material.
